Convenience Is at the Heart of Patient-Centered Care

At NVRA, we practice personalized, patient-centered care, which means we provide care that is aligned with your individual needs, values, and preferences. While each of our patients is unique, almost all want convenient care that focuses on ease and accessibility.

Why Radiology Accessibility Matters

Accessibility in diagnostic imaging means patients can get the tests they need, quickly and conveniently, and without having to travel great distances. For some patients, it’s also important to have access to culturally appropriate care. Nearly all patients agree that accessibility to affordable radiology is essential to good health.

How NVRA Reduces Stress and Saves Time

Convenience means never having to stress about where to get diagnostic imaging performed. NVRA has a wide variety of diagnostic imaging modalities, including x-rays, MRI, digital 3D mammography, and ultrasound-guided biopsies.

Convenience also means having a reliable diagnostic imaging location near you. NVRA has convenient locations in Southbury, Waterbury, and Prospect, so you never have to travel far to get the diagnostic imaging you need.

Easy Access Across Southbury, Waterbury, and Prospect

NVRA takes the stress out of diagnostic imaging by providing services in Central Connecticut. Each location features easy access along the Interstate 84 corridor and ample parking. Our locations include:

Southbury

Diagnostic Imaging of Southbury – 385 Main Street South, Union Square, Building 2; located in the heart of Union Square, we’re just off Main Street and not far from Yankee Expressway (I-84), which is about halfway between US Route 6 and Route 172, which makes it the most convenient place for people from Woodbury to Newtown to have their diagnostic imaging done.

Waterbury

West Main Street, Waterbury – located at 1389 West Main Street, is just off Yankee Expressway (I-84) and not far from Route 8, making it convenient for patients living in Torrington, Shelton, and other neighboring towns. You can also find Naugatuck Valley MRI, Waterbury, in this exact location, but in Tower 1, Suite 107.

Prospect

Waterbury Road, Prospect – 166 Waterbury Road (Route 69, also known as Route 69), Suite 105, is convenient for people living in Waterbury, Cheshire, Naugatuck, and surrounding areas.

Consistent, High-Quality Imaging Across All Centers

While our locations are miles apart, each imaging center offers the same high-quality diagnostic images our patients need for optimal health. Naugatuck Valley Radiology’s team was the first accredited ACR Diagnostic Imaging Center of Excellence (DICOE) facility in the State of Connecticut, and each of our centers is held to the same high standards of care.

Fast, Flexible Scheduling Options

Decades ago, scheduling appointments for diagnostic imaging was inconvenient – but not anymore! Technological advances have made scheduling faster, easier, and more flexible.

NVRA offers fast, flexible scheduling options to suit almost every need. You can use our Quick Appointment Request if you are a new patient or need to schedule an MRI, CT, or more than one exam. Return patients can schedule their next mammography, bone density (DEXA), x-ray, or ultrasound test with our Self-Scheduler.

Streamlined, Reliable Imaging From Start to Finish

To provide you with great care as conveniently as possible, we streamlined every step of our procedures. Now you can get the same high-quality diagnostic images in a shorter time and with less hassle.

Minimal Wait Times and Efficient Workflows

When you’re waiting to have a test done, minutes can seem like hours; even the smallest delay can seem like an eternity. Even if you undergo medical imaging often for a chronic problem, long wait times can lead to stress and anxiety. At NVRA, we’ve streamlined our procedures to minimize wait times and to make our procedures as efficient as possible.

Experienced Staff That Keeps You Moving

Every member of our staff is highly knowledgeable about the procedures we perform, and they apply this knowledge to keep patients moving efficiently through their imaging.

Digital Tools That Simplify Your Visit

NVRA has always been at the forefront of diagnostic imaging technology; today, we offer a number of digital tools to make your visit easy and informative. You can use Online Scheduling to schedule your next screening mammogram, bone density, x-ray, or ultrasound, for example. You can also use our Patient Portal for 24/7 access to your images or reports, or to pay your bill. Your doctor can also access your results to discuss at your next visit.

What Makes NVRA a More Convenient Choice?

When it comes to convenience, NVRA stands out from other diagnostic imaging options.

Independent Imaging vs. Large Hospital Systems

Bigger facilities do not always mean better: large hospital systems can be slow and impersonal. Independent imaging centers, by comparison, are often streamlined. Smaller centers, such as NVRA, also offer personalized care, so you are always much more than a number.

Designed With Patient Comfort and Efficiency in Mind

Every step in NVRA’s imaging procedures is designed to be as efficient and comfortable as possible. We use advanced technology to shorten MRI scan times and improve quality, for example, and this can mean shorter appointments and fewer retakes. We also report our findings to your doctor within 24 to 48 hours.

Our Mission to Make Imaging Stress-Free and Reliable

At NVRA, our #1 goal is to make your diagnostic imaging as stress-free, efficient, and reliable as possible. NVRA is physician-owned and patient-oriented, which makes us uniquely qualified to provide you with an exceptional patient experience.
